EZGO custom wheel sizes – What size wheel and tire can I put on my EZGO golf cart?
If you go by this you will have no worries with wheel scrub on your EZ-Go golf cart.
8″, 10″, 12″ wheels are inconsequential, it’s the tire diameter that is key.
A stock 8″ tire is 8.50×8-18 (18″ diameter).
A 10″ wheel with 205/50×10 tire is 18″ diameter.
A 12″ wheel with 205/30×12 tire is 18″ diameter.
A 12″ wheel with 215/35/12 or 235/30 12″ tire is 18.5″ tall
The biggest difference is the appearance and ride quality. The shorter the sidewall, the firmer the ride.
The cart in the photo above has a 12″ wheel with a 215/35/12 tire.
All of these sizes will not scrub and you will NOT NEED A LIFT KIT. Even if you have two people on the back seats.
The biggest tire you can put on an EZGO without a lift is 20″-20.5″.
They also make a 205/65×10 that is 20.5″.
215/50/12 tire which is 20″ tall also is good on a stock ez-go in most cases.
If you go as big as 20″-20.5″ the rear could scrub with back passengers aboard.
Some aftermarket body kits will also cause tire rub with a 20″ diameter tire size.
I have mud tire on my lifted golf cart size 23×10.50×12. I want to put some street tires about the same physical size and keep the lift on the cart. What size street tire would be the same size as my 23×10.5×12. Thanks Claude
