The golf cart has be adapted to run on a 48 volt 12 Cell Chevy Volt automobile Battery with BMS adapter as the cart controller. The setup is expected to get about 2/3 the drive time as a normally set up golf cart.
The Volt battery contains 12 cells, each pack is 45Ah – nominal 45V, max voltage for each module 49V. Each cell is nominal 3.7V – Max voltage 4.15V – Measured 46Ah. Continuous current 200A, short time 350A.
